Glenn Maxwell scored 95 runs in 43 balls and played a key role for KXI Punjab to start their journey with victory over CSK. On 18th April 2014, CSK VS KXIP T20 of IPL 7 was scheduled. After winning the toss, CSK Decided to bat first. With help of McCullum and Dwayne Smith's awesome batting performance CSK Scored 205 runs in 20 overs. Dwayne Smith Scored 66 runs in 43 balls and McCullum Scored 67 runs in 45 balls. Match was completely in CSK's hand.
Now KXI Punjab needed 206 runs to win the match. Its very tough to chase this much score against CSK. Chennai has a very good bowling attack. In beginning Virender Sehwag and Pujara played attractive shots. But suddenly KXIP lost 3 wickets in few overs. After 5.1 overs KXIP was on 52/3. At this stage it was very tough to come back in the game for KXIP. But Dhoni forgot that Glenn Maxwell was still on the crease. Glen Maxwell performed as per his image in cricket world. From beginning Maxwell started playing big shots.
David Miller and Maxwell made a big partnership. Maxwell scored 95 runs in 43 balls. Because of Maxwell's innings KXIP came back into the game. Glenn Maxwell played very good against all bowlers of CSK. It was a very bad luck for dhoni and good luck for Maxwell that CSK dropped 2 catches of Glenn Maxwell. Dhoni might be thinking that we lost the match when we dropped the catch of Maxwell. Because of Maxwell's 95 runs KXIP won by6 wickets against CSK.
